Glue takes you on a journey and places you in the middle of the Jones and Smith families. 

Diana Smith is the eldest of seven children and comes from a religious family background. Her father, Albert Jones, is the reverend, and her mother, Katherine, is the first lady at Briarwood First Baptist Church in Briarwood, New York. 

At an early age, Diana's parents relied on her to take care of her siblings because they were so preoccupied with the church. Unforeseeably, Diana took on the role as a mother figure instead of a big sister. As an adult, Katherine still relies on her to keep the family intact. 

Now, some of Diana's siblings' true feelings of envy, entitlement, and resentment start emerging, which are motives for their actions. Diana is in denial about how bad things really are within the family because she wants everything to be perfect no matter what. 

Sadly, that's not the only reason; Deep down inside she is battling with her own insecurities and is still desperately seeking approval from the one person who will not give it to her.
